Good-For-Every1 Fish Head Curry

As mentioned in recent post, I went to JB for some Fish Head Curry. It's at a eatery named Kam Long Restaurant.

This is e eatery. Crowded. Queue moved really fast though...
From City Square, exit May Bank which is where the office units are. Walk across to Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Go straight down and within 5 mins of walking, you are there!

We ordered 1 x medium fish head, 1 x medium fish tail, 4 x rice, 5 x cans of drink and additional tau kee for each pot.
Total damage? 80 ringgit which is around SGD29.85 with the rate I change which is 2.68. The rate in JB today was 2.6. Even with that rate, it's only SGD30.80 for a total of 4 x adults. I thought it's pretty good!

Had to have chilli padi. I dare say they aren't spicy at all!

The fish head arrived 1st which is at the top. It came really fast as our order was taken while queuing for a table. Talk about efficency!
The gravy turned redder as time passes. The fish tail came slightly later. While queuing, I saw how they removed the fish scales and thought they did a shitty job as it was fast and don't look thorough. Boy was I wrong... Not only is there no fish scales, they were fresh, meaty and soft! Love! My only complain was that it ain't spicy enough for me. Oh well, it serves ALL kinds of customers. Even those who can't take much heat... I don't mind going back there! Nice curry!

We spent the rest of the day in City Square. Had desserts at one of the stores. Don't remember the name. I think it's called Huai something or Hai something.

That pretty much summed up my Sat!
Too tired. On our way to JB, the queue at Malaysia custom was insane. Waited at least 40 mins for our turn!

I intend to treat my tired feet to some massage tomorrow!
Have a great one Peeps!

Back Alive...

I'm back but not for long... Ha ha...
On 24th February, I got tired and blogged that I'll be taking a break.
Well, the break was short! Lasted only 1 month 15 days, round about.
I've decided that I will blog as and when I want to or when I've something to share like TRAVEL!

What have I been up to?
I've been exercising!

For a few weeks, I've been jogging for 30 sec and walking for 1 min 30 sec.
This I did for 6 cycles. I start off with a warm up of 5 mins and end with a cool down of 5 mins.
No change in scale.

Then for next 2 weeks, I jogged for 40 sec and walk for 1 min 20 sec.
Again, warm up of 5 mins and cool down of 5 mins.

The next 1 week, I jogged for 1 min and walk for 2 mins.
Sensing that my stamina seemed better, I now jog for 1 min 30 sec and walk 1 min 30 sec.
I've stopped checking the scale.

In all, I've exercised for a month plus now, having started in March last month.
I also signed up for a class in a community centre - Pilates Matwork for Beginners.

All along, I've exercised with my Adidas Seduction.
It was only recently that I got myself a pair of Nike - Air Zoom Pegasus 31.
My Adidas is really good for walking as it's really well-ventilated.
The Nike is good for running due to the amount of cushion.

I usually do the jog-walk exercise on Mondays through Fridays. Nike is the one I turn to.
On Saturdays, I brisk walk for 1 hour followed by 1 x round (370m) jog. Adidas is the one I turn to.
Sunday, I rest.

Other than exercising, I've also been keeping myself busy with BSF and Telios.
My church came up with a program - Telios where it's a deeper study on God's Word.
FDG is a foundation and I completed that last year. Hence, I've moving on to Telios.
In order to keep myself disciplined, I use something called Spiraldex on my planner which helps me plan my time better. This way, I'll be able to finish each task on a daily basis.
If I do not do it this way, time will pass me by quickly and I'll achieve nothing at the end of each day.

What else is coming up?
I'm going to JB on Saturday morning! I read that the Fish Head Curry @ Jalan Wong Ah Fook is really nice. There's also a few more eateries at Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Hence, I intend to check it out!
The ringgit exchange rate is really good by the way! I went and change SGD100 on Tuesday and that got me 268.41 ringgit! Of course, I gave a little extra to make it to 300 ringgit. ^^
While taking a cab to send my overseas client to Botanic Garden, the cab driver told me that many Singaporeans go for massage at the shops near Jusco in Bukit Indah. He said it's cheap and good.
I wouldn't mind a good massage! I'll have to see if my female companions would be interested come this Saturday... I'll blog about my little 'adventure' in JB next week!

That's about all for me thus far... There's a long holiday come August this year. National Day falls on a Sunday and so, the next day (Monday) is a public holiday. Also, the Friday of the week which National Day falls in, is also a holiday since this is the 50th year that Singapore has gained her independence. Thus giving us 4 days of holiday! Whoo hoo...! In my opinion, it'll be such a waste if I stayed in Singapore during that period. I'm planning something now. I'm still comparing the flight. ^^
Keep you updated!

Have a great one Peeps!

Taking a Long Break...

I've been feeling really unaccomplished lately. Unproductive.
Having the need to blog, to instagram, to take note of stuff is taking a toil on me.
For Year 2015, it might be a bit late for new year resolutions but I guess so long as you'd like to make good changes in your life, nothing's too late.

This year, I want to give my all to God, to work, to having a healthier lifestyle,
to making more money, to spending more time with loved ones.

Hence why I'm going to:
Stop Blogging
Stop Instagramming my Photos
Stop Spending time on Social Media
(Twitter, Facebook, Blog etc. I might check out Instagram now and then...)

And concentrate on:
Reading the Bible
Spending time with God
Memory Scripture
Focusing on Work
Working Out (might take up Yoga or Pilates)
Eating Healthier even on weekends
Creating more cards for that extra money

I guess that's all for now...
I'll catch up with you probably a year from now.
Till then, stay healthy & stay happy!
Adieus!

CNY Goodies from Bengawan Solo

I met up with a gf for lunch one day. During lunch, she was telling me how much she like the cookies from Bengawan Solo. I never bought cookies from Bengawan Solo. I rarely even stepped in. I've only tried and liked the corn kueh there. Hearing that, I decided to check it out with her. ^^

My Mom loves this but somehow, she didn't want this, this year.
She has lotsa goodies back home herself!

Close-Up

Choc Almond Cookies
I love this! Last bottle in the shop as well!

Pistachio Almond Cookies
A little sweet. Wonder why I got it in the 1st place. The pistachios perhaps...

Cranberry Almond Cookies
Boy were these lovely...

My cousin gave me these - Pineapple Tarts!

I like that it's not too overly sweet and that it has pineapple bits in it still! It's not entirely smooth. ^^

I end off with a non-food related photo.
My little nephew whom I love after spending some time with him for the 1st time.
Yes, I'm a bad aunt... =(
This boy just captures my heart! =D
I shall call him little J! ^^

Have a great day Peeps!

17th Feb, Tuesday

into my NutriBullet and blend away!

Lunch was with a friend. I had a bowl of Tom Yum Handmade Noodles.

Dinner will be Quinoa with Smoked Paprika Salmon & Capsicums.
This was supposed to be my lunch. I forgot about my lunch appointment until when I was about to leave home for work. Hence, I turned it for dinner instead.

I Fine...Thank You Love You

I went to watch this with S on 18th Feb.
This was screened on 22nd Jan.
Hence, it's been in the movie theater for more than a month!
Tells you A LOT about this movie!

Both of us laughed from the beginning till the end.
It's really filled with humor!
Besides, both the male lead and female lead are such beautiful people! Eye candy... ^^

Go catch it for some laughs!

Steamboat for CNY

I don't know about you but I luuurrrvveee steamboat.
There's no need to wait till the Eve of CNY to enjoy steamboat.
In fact, I can have it 365 days a year, every year if I want to! Simply 'cos it's easily available.
Nearing CNY, steamboat is not THAT easily available. Even if they are available, they don't taste as good. Hence why I like to prepare it myself.

Even though I've had my reunion dinner with Mom and Bro in Buffet Town,
a reunion dinner in my opinion, is not complete without steamboat. ^^

I snapped photos to share with you guys on MY version of steamboat.
I made some dumplings myself and I also made a chilli dip with the help of the sauce from Dancing Chef! Great! I just added some sauce in a bowl. Then I added some sesame oil, sesame seeds, minced garlic and some chilli padi. Yumz...

1st Row: Fish Dumplings, Pacific Clams, Tiger Prawns, Chicken, Handmade Dumplings
2nd Row: Tofu, Pork Balls, Crabsticks, Taiwan Sausages, Red Snapper, Pork Belly, Fishballs, Silken Tofu
Last Row: Yu Sheng, Enoki Mushrooms, Lettuce, Dang Oh (there's slices of abalone in the Yu Sheng)

My broth is made up of chicken and fish. It's quite a mix but still good. ^^
Well, that's my reunion dinner for you! I'm sure we're going to have a few more rounds of Yu Sheng in the remaining days of CNY. There's a total of 15 days for CNY! I LURRRRVVEEE Yu Sheng! ^^

On CNY, we also have pineapple tarts and oranges!
These were made by S.
A bit sweet for my taste. I prefer them slightly tart. =D
I was however, given some really nice ones from my cousin! *heart*

I hope you've been enjoying your holidays thus far!
Xin Nian Kuai Le! (Happy New Year)
Shen Ti Jian Kang! (Good Health)
