A Lift from Dead Passion

I've not been feeling motivated when it comes to card creation these weeks.

It seemed like I was more interested towards healthy eating, healthy recipes and clean eating.

My BFF started to tell me that the cards that I've been making recently don't look like I put in much effort. In other words, they are just so-so and not pretty enough to garner likes. Ha ha...

Her comment really got to me and somehow, she got me motivated.

I sat on my art table yesterday thinking why I lacked passion and creativity.

I then shifted my stamps to another location where I'll have better access.

Thereafter, I sat on the chair, looking through my stamps and managed to create some nicer cards.

I guess I'm able to perform better now that I can SEE my stamps better.

Enough said... Take a look!

A View...

I've been making cards... LOTS of them. 200 for the church, 280 X'mas cards for the office, 50 Deepavali cards for the office and a few more for challenges, X'mas cards for friends, birthday cards etc. There's so many birthday cards to mail towards the end of the year. I love making cards and I love compliments from people! All it takes is a compliment to make me smile, make me feel appreciated. ^^

The rest are made just as I sit around, thinking...

I thought I'm short of some cards for the office.

So, I made this only to find out that there's more than enough for the office. >.<

Gave the card on the left to Hippo for her birthday!

Card on the left was made as I want to see how the stencil from Tim Holtz look like. ^^

Card on the right was made because I had an extra girl lying around from a previous project and I would like to 'use' her. =)

Cards made for Mooncake Festival.

Top one was given to a dear sister who helped and is still helping me much in church.

Bottom one was given to a very dear friend. ^^

Cards made just because I want to try out Tim Holtz Stencil - Doily.

Well, I've been busy over the weekend and I was busy with the making of cards. I also visited my Chub Chub and my my, she's grown so quickly. She's able to flip easily and get herself on a sitting position very quickly. She's also more stable in the sitting position now and requires no support. Her hands also start to get itchy and want to open drawers now. I was told that she likes to open 1 particular drawer where there's a mirror in it and she would keep staring at the girl looking back at her. Ha ha... How adorable!

Well, that's about all for my weekend... I'll need to get some copic markers while they are on promotion this week! Have a fantabulous Monday!

Been busy making cards... Check this out (did it last night)!

Base card is Neenah Desert Storm #100 paper

Background paper's from Dear Lizzy paper pad - Neapolitan

Die is from #PrettyPinkPosh (PPP)

Sentiments is from Lawn Fawn stamp set which I believe is Sophie's Sentiments

I then use lots of glossy accent with some sequins from PPP

So there you have it!

A birthday card for a dear gf who's having a celebration for her daughter end of this month!

Shaker Card

So I did another card yesterday as a friend requested for it.

I used a die and sequins from #PrettyPinkPosh.

I've no speech die and so, I stamped the word 'Hello' and cut it out myself.

The outer frame is a paper from one of the paper pad, either Lawn Fawn or Dear Lizzy. Can't remember.

This is a shaker card and the sequins are both 6mm and 4mm Cobalt, Raspberry and Lemon Meringue.

The bear there is from a MaMa Elephant stamp set called 'Peekaboo' I believe.

The grass is a Lawn Fawn die - Grassy Border.

I must say I liked how it turned out... The inside saying is from a MaMa Elephant stamp set. I believe it's called Up & Away. I took the 'The Best is Yet to Come, hang in there'. 

I'm sure I'll find other ways to use the sequins. They are absolutely gorgeous! =)

Lunch appointment with a supplier in Tuas yesterday. Venue was called D'Hub (Designer Hub). There's a good range of cuisine, Western, Chinese, Japanese just to name a few. Decent food at decent prices.

Both J & I had the same thing which is Chicken Teriyaki which is yummy...

Designer Hub is a nice place. Pity it's in Tuas. We hardly go there... =(

This has been a really exciting week for me so far. My order from Pretty Pink Posh arrived last night and I was jumping for joy when I saw the box. =)

Incidentally, my Squatty Potty arrived earlier this week.

The same with my Scotch Mounting Tape purchased from Amazon. =)

What's a Squatty Potty? Well, go type it in Google and check it out.

I've constipation so it comes in handy.

I tried it for the 1st time this morning and I must say it helped get me into the rhythm of getting things rolling. Ha ha...
